I have compiled a list of my top 10 all time favorite classic novels, oldies but goodies in other words. This is my own personal opinion and I welcome any suggestions and also feel free to add your own personal favorites in the comments section!
1. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, 1960 2. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne 1850 3. Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, 1847 4. Moby Dick by Herman Melville, 1851 5. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, 1925 6. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë, 1847 7. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, 1813 8. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, 1885
9. The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger, 1945 10. The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe by Edgar Allan Poe, 1809 – 1849
Again this is just own personal opinion in the order of which ones I enjoyed reading the most. Sadly some of the greats did not make the cut this time around. It is hard to rank such great novels by talented authors throughout the years. Maybe some of the greats I did not get to add will have an honorable mention by some of my readers. I look forward to reading about all of your favorite classics.
